I'm willing to buy a pack of brand name, anti-fog, anti-scratch, UV-protective safety glasses, but don't want to waste my money if no one needs them or plans to use them

I could get 15 cheese/pepperoni pizzas for 114.85

I can just donate a bunch of bottled water to the cause. On top of the pizza tax.

for drinks i was thinking red solo cups and two liters
Robbie — 06/16/2022
seven slices per person should be good

I don't know about for sale, but that would be interesting to have prizes(of some sort), Maybe not for this one (which I've been led to believe that this one is a test run of sorts) but for the full-fledged one, it would be interesting to have them, (I would even be willing to donate like a $10 dollar gift card or something as a prize) but yeah. Food-wise, I don't know if it was discussed but a 5 dollar (give or take) fee for food might be necessary. Cheapest options might be either Pizza Den (through me, I can get a large pizza with 12 slices for roughly 6 bucks), Dominos (through Kaishen), and I don't know of the pricing for other places which people work at, but those two options work fairly well with me and DND with trying to feed 5-8 people. With a quick check online, Dominos $5.99 carryout deal, and with 17 people in the discord, assuming everyone shows, 15 pizzas comes to $100.00 even. I don't know exact numbers but for an all day event, that should do it, that comes to roughly 7 slices per person, which assuming @Wayne's estimation, should work. If you raise the fee slightly higher to even $10, assuming @Robbie and @David , aren't included in the fee, leaves you $50 to get drinks. I'll assume water and cans of soda and juice. Probably get around 100 bottles of water, and roughly 48 cans of various beverages for the remaining 50. I would even say that that might be a low estimate (but that is just off me purchasing drinks for DND at my house). Theoretically, it seems like $10 is the right amount, especially for sustenance and an all day thing.

just to set expectations, my goal is a multi-stage event -- a rehearsal or "soft open" if you will, to get the bugs out, then the full event with everyone
there will be a lot of initial blaster testing, figuring out game modes, streamlining loadouts and kit distribution, dealing with jams, figuring out how to referee, maybe repositioning obstacles (or propping them back up after they fall over 🙂 )
might also find out our yard just isn't big enough and we'll need to rent a place for the big event

Like I said, the Walmart and Target brands of darts are better than official Nerf anyway
